The career and educational fair was held at Suntec last Friday. Went there with Von and had a great time! Thought that the whole event was going to be bored and even gave negative feedback to the surveyors there...until we tried hands-on on some new things! Had a bagful of freebies too.. Hehe..
First, we tried the cookies made by the chefs... As we were still eating halfway, we came across tiramisus laid on the table. We really thought that they were meant for people to sample. So, I told Von that maybe after we finish our cookies then we eat so that we dont look so greedy with food on both hands. Von said, "Okie, why not we share?" Then the chef heard and told us, "Why share? Each one take one, better." We thought.. Wah, each one one?? Hehe.. Before we knew it, the chef started handing us gloves... The main purpose is not for us to sample, but for us to make! Oh my God! Damn pai seh lor.. Anywae, it was real fun. First, we have to dip the biscuits into the melted chocalate and press down it. Then, in a zig zag motion, squeeze the cream. Repeat the steps and do it layer by layer. After that even them and filter those chocolate bits at the top...Mine was not very nice though, but still presentable ba. The staffs there were all very friendly and approachable and even offered to help us take pics! Managed to take only a few, cos my camera chose to go "batteryless" at this time. Luckily, Von's camera saved the day. Will post more pics when she send me.
Second, the next interesting thing was the Indo Chine booth. They are actually hiring waitresses, bartenders, etc. There is this Malay bartender who is about to perform at around 7.30pm. So, both of us waited. Guess we were the only people who stayed throughout the short stint. Anywae, we get to drink the drinks he made for free! Think total we tried 5 drinks? But I can only remember drinks like Governor's Smile, Sex on the Beach, Pussyfoot..Think these drinks will cost a lot if we really had it at Indo Chine... Haha. Met up with Trace for dinner and more gossips after that... :)
