Yes, I am back!!!
Had quite a great time in Medan, my mum's hometown. (Other than the unpleasant experience wen we tried to get a cab from Harborfront back home)
What happened was this.. We reached Singapore at about 8plus at Harboufront. The taxi stand is actally quite far from us, so we decided to try our luck by flagging along the road. There were actually quite a no of available cabs. But, guess wat? They wouldn't go by meter, THEY QUOTED US PRICE!!! Wah lau, do they think that this is Malaysia, or Indonesia? Seriously pissed off by their actions!! Disgusting!!! 2 Merc cabs quoted us $35, and one normal comfort driver quoted us $20. One of them were a bit unhappy when we din agree on the price, and even ask us to jolly well queue at the taxi stand! What is this man??? The road is not his, not even his Ah Gong's lor! But really no cabs there. Bo bian, waited at the taxi stand, long queue though. But, worth it, got a Merc cab, and it took us only around $8 plus. A lot a lot cheaper then wat those drivers quoted. Really tot of lodging a complaint since we have one of the driver's car plate number... Argh!!
