The Pump Room has its own microbrewery on site and is producing a range of classic and specialty beers served straight from the settlement tanks to the bar, guaranteeing the freshest of the fresh!. The highly experienced brew master is Alex Chasko, originally from the United States, but who has just finished honing his skills at the doyen of brew schools, Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland where he added a Master of Science in Brewing to his impressive qualifications.
In addition to his own brews, Alex will be offering a select range of top beers from around the world and will be regularly on hand to discuss the merits of each and compare his efforts with the best available!!
He is also offering tours of the microbrewery and related tastings and will be available to give advice on all things “beer”.

The Pump Room Lager – Golden, crisp, clean and easy drinking - available now
Bohemian Lager – Darker with more hops flavour than most Pilsner - coming in March
Scottish Ale – Hardy, roasted malt characters with a slightly sweet finish - coming in March
India Pale Ale – Copper coloured, strong hops aroma, malt flavour - available now
Wheat Ale – Pure white head, cloudy body and full of character - available now
I tried the Scottish Ale under the waiter's recommendation.. Freshly brewed for less then an hr or so by Alex. Not bad! Oh, tried the "White Baits" and "Sauteed Mushrooms" as well. Portion is rather big, so me and Ah Hui had problems finishing them. Oh.. Extremely good service. Shall try the main course in the near future!
