11am Arrival at the Zoo
Start by saying hello to the siamangs and white-faced saki monkeys at the Treetops Trail. Traipse through the lush Rainforest Walk and enjoy the delightful sight of our free-ranging orang utans as they frolic in the treetops above. Head past Gibbon Island for a glimpse of gibbons and howler monkeys, and carry on through Wild Africa to see white rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, meerkats, giraffes and lions. Cat Country is next, with leopards and jaguars, followed by our very own Tropical Crops Plantation.

Wander through Fragile Forest
Enter a walk-through rainforest that is home to free ranging mousedeer, sloths, lemurs, tree kangaroos and butterflies amidst mighty trees, delicate ferns and stunning cascades. The forest ambience is further recreated with soundscaping, cascades, logs and a misting system.

Engage in the Elephants At Work and Play Show at the Elephants of Asia Exhibit
Get an insight into a working elephant’s typical day at a logging camp. It reveals the incredible bond between the mahouts (keepers) and their elephants, and demonstrates just how intelligent these giants are. This 10,000 square meter exhibit, built along the tranquil waters of Upper Seletar Reservoir boasts a stunning view as well.

Gaze at the Hamadryas Baboons – the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia
This award winning habitat features a spectacular troop of over 50 hamadryas baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, black-backed jackals, rock hyraxes and banded mongooses in a stunning landscape of massive rocks. Experience the native Ethiopian lifestyle with rustic tribal villages, artifacts and coffee ceremony huts.
Tea Break (If we managed to find any fast food restaurants)
Hop into the Australian Outback
Interspersed with semi-arid and marginally fertile ground, this exhibit reflects the rugged beauty of Down Under. Visitors can come up close to seven female grey kangaroos specially flown in from Australia, and agile wallabies. Other highlights here include the inland taipan – the deadliest snake in the world with the most toxic venom, the cassowary, emu, brolga, tree kangaroo, blue-tongue skink, bearded dragon, frilled-neck lizard and the carpet python. Learn more about these animals from the educational interpretives located throughout the exhibit and hop onboard the modified jeep for a great photography opportunity.

Explore Tiger Trek
This exhibit is designed in an interactive mode with multimedia animal facts and messages about wildlife conservation. Visitors can have the opportunity to see a tiger pug’s mark, hear a tiger roar, moan and call, watch a video on tiger bones and how poachers hunt it. White tigers, also known as Bengal tigers- are rare, powerful and beautiful.

Take a Peek at the Wildlife Healthcare and Research Centre
Visit our new double storey facility, which boasts purpose-built facilities such as a fully-equipped operating theatre and spacious animal wards. A glass paneled viewing gallery allows visitors to witness first-hand vets and laboratory staff in action. The interpretive gallery also features displays of surgical instruments, taxidermised animal parts, specimens of common animal parasites and Chinese herbs used in treatment of animals.
